This is one of the safest investments as it is run by the government and the lock-in period is 15 years. Sukanya Samiriddhi Yojana: This scheme was brought by the government in the year 2014 for a girl child of the age below 10 years. The payment period is 15 years whereas the maturity period of the account is 21 years.
